I like the heaviness of this stainless steel aerolatte. But I like my older (cheaper) non-stainless steel one better because this one has less power (lot less). Unfortunately my old one stopped working after 4-5 years.
Every morning I am treated to coffee that I like better than Starbucks. I got this Christmas and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. I use half and half, heat it for 25 seconds in the microwave, then froth it for about 10 seconds and pour the coffee while continuing to froth. The other day, I ordered my usual tall Misto and was actually disappointed, and that was one of my "treats". It's easy to clean and the batteries are still running strong.
Milk in a mug, minute-thirty in the micro, twenty seconds with our aerolatte and badda bing, you can literally SCULPT with the amazing foam this baby gives ya. Deus ex machina.
My wife and I have used this gadget every single day for over 2 years. My sister gave me the Aerolatte, and I thought to myself, "Well, here's a worthless little gizmo she probably found in a Marshall's sales bin." Oh, how wrong I was.
3 years ago, when our steamer on our espresso machine broke, I went into a minor depression, then I further exacerbated my mood by whisking milk on a hot stove. It works very, very well.
It's such a cool little gadget (which we load with greenbatteries' ultra-low discharge rechargeable NiMH batteries) that we've bought a couple for our friends as well. The aerolatte.
Go froth and prosper.
I have to say be careful the first time you use it. I gave my wife this handy device last Christmas. It is very powerful and will surprise you at its speed. Everyone fell in love with it so I had to buy more as gifts this year for family. Great for mixing beverages and whipping things and so light weight. We use it EVERYDAY, and it still has the same batteries. I highly recommend.
I use it, my children use it and I have given several away for gifts. I can not believe how well this works, how inexpensive it is and how much we love using it. Latte's, hot chocolate- we have a cup of tea just to froth the milk. It is the perfect kitchen tool. Love the stand too.
